Lake Lanier Fishing Report August 5 2010

Fishing has been great on Lake Lanier. This is always some of the best fishing of the year for striped bass. The stripers are in the deep water in large schools. Most of our bites are coming on downlines 45 ft deep over eighty to one hundred feet of water. Flourocarbon leaders have been important. We are also catching a few good fish power reeling large bucktails tipped with blueback herring but not as many as in years past. The downline has been the obvious favorite of the fish. Be sure to take plenty of bait. You will need it. Good luck out on the lake. Now is the time to go. Catching Not Fishing 770-630-2673
