Lake Lanier Fishing Report September 21 2009

So far the summer downline bite has continued to be strong. It has been a lot of fun watching kids try to to pull the rod out of the Driftmaster rod holders with a twenty pound fish trying to head for the bottom. The fish have been deep as expected. Some of the fish have been as deep as a 100 feet. Power reeling bucktails has also been catching some big fish. the big news this year has been the increasing popularity of pure oxygen sysytems to keep the herring frisky. Pure oxygen has always been popular with people keeping skipjacks alive but now everyone is going to pure oxygen. Be sure to check out the Up on Lanier Fishing Forum for this weeks report
