December Fishing Report

The stiper fishing on Lkae Lanier has continued to be strong most days. The only problem has been the weather. We have went from no rain for a year to rain every few days. The lake is full pool and looks incredible. The downline has been the best tactic for the stripers but some good fish are coming on freelines as well. Gizzard shad and large trout on the freelines have been best bait. Planer boards are just as ggod as the freelines. The main thing is to keep the baits high in the water column. Be sure to use a stinger hook on the gizzard shad. Bucktails are catching a few fish as well. Be sure to go with a 3/8ounce white bucktail. Good luck out on the lake.
